Key Responsibilities:
- Provide courteous, prompt, professional, and attentive telephone and reservation services while upholding 5-Diamond Standards at all times
- Maintain and handle all incoming reservation phone calls and emails in connection with room bookings, hotel services, hours of operation, in-house events etc.
- Completion in detail of all duties contained within either the AM or PM Reservation Checklist
- Answer and direct the multi-line telephone console calls professionally and consistently responding to any inquiries and/or reservation bookings
- Ensure the delivery of all guest messages and personal wake-up calls
- Addressing and resolving guest concerns promptly and escalating issues to the Manager on Duty when deemed necessary
- Promote the property in your interactions with guests
- Possess a sound knowledge of tourist attractions, nightlife, events, arts, entertainment, local trends, restaurants, and special services in the surrounding area to enhance the stay of our guests
- Maintain a good working relationship and communication amongst all colleagues and departments
- Keeping yourself aware of procedural and/or policy changes by reviewing the log book and memo board upon shift arrival; record important and relevant items as required therein
- Understand Credit Card payments / third-party payments and authorizations/cash payments
Requirements:
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 2 years experience in a Hotel working in reservations or front desk with strong reservations background
- Must be able to multi-task and work under pressure
- Must be computer literate and possess knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Previous experience with Opera or other Property Management Systems is essential to this role
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to $57,000.00 per year
