Barista - Sadler's - Fulltime

Job Summary:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages while providing exceptional customer service. They ensure the service area is clean, stocked, and operates efficiently, creating a welcoming environment for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to established recipes.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment.
• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service.
• Take and process customer orders efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure the café area is clean, organised, and complies with health and safety regulations.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Restock supplies, including coffee beans, milk, and other ingredients.
• Assist in training new baristas and maintaining a team-oriented environment.
• Suggest menu items and promotions to enhance guest experience and sales.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso-based drinks.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and team collaboration.
• Attention to detail and consistency in beverage preparation.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar hospitality role preferred.
• Certification in Barista training or coffee preparation (preferred but not mandatory).
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry supplies up to 15 kg.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
