The construction department at Fitch Creations in Fearrington Village is looking for a “Jack of all Trades” to join our team. This is a full-time position, 7:30am-4pm Monday through Thursday (with 7:30am -11am on Fridays as needed). Our ideal candidate will perform final touch-ups, minor installations, and deficiency repairs on newly built homes before and after final client handoff.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Punch List Completion: Fix minor surface flaws, paint chips, and drywall imperfections noted during final builder walk-throughs.
  • Fixture Installation: Mount doorknobs, towel bars, mirrors, etc
  • Surface Touch-Ups: Apply touch-up paint to walls, trim, and exterior touch points safely and cleanly.
  • Site Cleanliness: Maintain an organized, debris-free work zone and assist with final site tidy-up before staging or closing.
  • Minor landscaping tasks- spreading mulch, gravel screenings, lot cleanup as needed

 

Requirements & Skills

  • Basic experience in carpentry, painting, bath accessory mounting, and drywall patching.
  • Ability to safely use common hand and power tools (drills, saws, levels).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to learn and grow the skill set you already have
