We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team in Halkidiki, Greece. This is an exciting opportunity to support the management of a thriving restaurant operation whilst developing your career in the hospitality sector. You will work collaboratively with the Restaurant Manager and wider team to deliver exceptional service, maintain operational excellence, and create memorable experiences for our guests. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine passion for hospitality. - Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service delivery during all shifts - Supervise and mentor front-of-house and back-of-house staff, providing constructive feedback and fostering a supportive team environment
- Maintain the highest standards of customer service, addressing guest concerns with empathy and professionalism whilst seeking innovative solutions - Monitor and manage inventory, stock levels, and supplier relationships to optimise costs without compromising quality - Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, conducting regular audits and implementing corrective actions
- Assist in staff recruitment, induction, and training programmes to build a skilled and motivated team - Analyse financial performance, manage budgets, and contribute to revenue-generating initiatives - Maintain detailed records of service charges, tips, and financial transactions using Point of Sale systems - Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure food quality, presentation, and timely service
- Respond decisively to operational challenges and guest complaints, maintaining composure and professionalism - Contribute to the development and implementation of restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards - Support marketing and promotional activities to enhance the restaurant's profile and guest satisfaction
**Required:** - Proven experience working in a fine dining or upmarket restaurant environment - Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within food and beverage operations - Sound knowledge of traditional cocktails, wines, and spirits with the ability to make informed recommendations
- Strong people skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software - Solid understanding of health, safety, and food hygiene compliance - Strong organisational and time-keeping abilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Problem-solving mindset with the capacity to work flexibly under pressure - Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service **Desirable:** - Wine, spirits, or hospitality management qualification or certification - Experience in a Michelin-starred or award-winning restaurant
- Knowledge of food and beverage cost control and financial modelling - Experience managing restaurant teams of varying sizes - Familiarity with hospitality industry best practices and emerging trends - Language skills beneficial for working in a multicultural environment - Experience in a tourism-focused destination or seasonal restaurant operation
