Posting details

One of the UK's leading Five Red Star country house hotels, Pale Hall is a destination for luxury and culinary indulgence. Situated at the Snowdonia National Park this historic Victorian mansion features eighteen bedrooms and suites and four charming garden suites within the estate grounds.  With plans for significant investment and growth over the coming months this is a really exciting place to be!

Pale Hall is recruiting a full time Facilities & Maintenance Assistant to support the management in the maintenance and compliance of this magnificent Victorian country house set in 25 acres of formal gardens and woodland.

Tradesperson preferred, we're particularly interested in those with a knowledge of maintaining historic buildings.  A significant percentage of the hotel’s electricity is generated by a hydroturbine, so some mechanical knowledge would be an advantage but not essential.

This is a key position at the heart of the hotel requiring keen vigilance and the ability to work on initiative.  Flexibility is essential to meet the demands of a complex structure with Listed Building status where the unforeseen can happen!

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the role will involve supporting the Maintenance Manager with the upkeep of the daily to annual maintenance programme at the Hotel and the Bryntirion and supporting the Maintenance Manager with general building projects around the estate.

With plans for expansion and new outlets, there are opportunities for the right people to grow and develop with us.

This is a full time permanent position, 40 hours per week, five days over seven to include occasional weekend work.

We offer a share of monthly gratuities, generous staff discounts, free meals on duty, on-site parking and the chance to work in a really stunning location.

Pale Hall offers a supportive and rewarding working environment in delightful rural surroundings, where everyone is helped and encouraged to reach their full potential within a kind and friendly team.

Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK, and be confident that they can commute to the hotel within the shift patterns and requirements of the role.

We are currently seeking a skilled General Builder to join our Facilities & Maintenance Team to help uphold the high standards of our property.

As a General Builder, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of building and repair tasks to ensure our hotel infrastructure remains safe, functional, and visually appealing. Your work will directly support our guest experience and contribute to the long-term upkeep of the property.

  • Proven experience as a general builder or similar role, preferably within a hospitality or commercial setting.
