We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Bradford, United States. As the second-in-command in our kitchen, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of food quality and service excellence.

  • Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and quality control
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items and seasonal specials
  • Manage inventory, place orders, and control food costs
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including HACCP standards
  • Step in for the Executive Chef when necessary, overseeing all kitchen operations
  • Participate in menu costing and pricing strategies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times
  • Assist in managing kitchen budgets and financial performance

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in a high-volume restaurant
  • Culinary degree or equivalent culinary education
  • Excellent culinary skills with a strong focus on taste, presentation, and innovation
  • In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control
  • Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP standards
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Demonstrated creativity and attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Computer literacy, including experience with kitchen management software (preferred)
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety certification (preferred)
