Twin Farms, Vermont’s only Forbes 5-Star resort, is seeking an experienced and service-driven Director of Rooms to oversee all aspects of the Rooms Division, ensuring the seamless delivery of world-class guest experiences. This strategic leader will manage and inspire a team across front office, housekeeping and guest services upholding the highest standards of luxury, personalization, and operational excellence.


Leadership & Operations

  • Provide hands-on leadership and strategic direction for all Rooms Division departments: Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping and Laundry.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • Develop and implement departmental SOPs that reflect Twin Farms’ luxury positioning and Forbes 5-Star service standards.
  • Act as the property’s ambassador in delivering authentic, personalized guest experiences.

Guest Experience

  • Continuously enhance the guest journey, from arrival to departure, ensuring every touchpoint is curated, thoughtful, and exceeds expectations.
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, with a focus on recovery and retention.
  • Monitor guest feedback platforms and internal surveys; implement improvements based on actionable insights.

Team Development & Management

  • Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier hospitality professionals aligned with the resort’s culture and values.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, training sessions, and staff development initiatives.
  • Foster a team culture that embraces excellence, accountability, and warm hospitality.

Financial & Strategic Oversight

  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and labor costs in alignment with financial goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on resort-wide initiatives, capital projects, and long-term planning.
  • Identify and implement revenue-generating opportunities within the Rooms Division.

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and operational policies, including state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain Forbes 5-Star and Relais & Châteaux standards across all touchpoints.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hospitality, preferably at a Forbes 5-Star or Relais & Châteaux property.
  • Deep understanding of high-end guest service philosophies and operational best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a boutique or ultra-luxury setting.
  • Strong analytical, budget management, and decision-making abilities.
  • Hands-on, service-oriented, and adaptable to seasonal fluctuations and guest preferences.
  • Familiarity with PMS systems (e.g.Maestro) and hospitality technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
